XM.com (previously known as XeMarkets) is a Cyprus-based international online foreign exchange broker. The company provides financial trading services through various electronic trading platforms, including MetaTrader 4 allowing traders to apply Expert Advisor (EA) strategies. XM also provides trading in contract for difference (CFDs) on major indices and commodities such as gold and crude oil. The company is headquartered in Cyprus, with representative offices in Hungary, Greece, Australia and New Zealand.
XM’s holding company Trading Point Holdings Ltd was founded in 2009 in Cyprus by entrepreneurs Costas Cleanthous and Ilias Mavrommatis, both ex-interbank dealers. The company has previously operated its brand name under the name XEMarkets until it started trading as XM.com in 2013.
Starting in 2010, the company started offering retail services through the MetaTrader 4 platform. In 2011 it received registration status from UK’s Financial Services Authority (FSA). During the same year it introduced WebTrader 4 in addition to Mobile Trading applications and also launched its own affiliate program for web affiliates, representatives and introducing brokers.
In 2012, XM’s holding company acquired XEMarkets.com[2] and started offering services in 18 languages. During the same year it launched a news streaming service on MetaTrader 4, and started offering a number of on-site and offsite seminars, workshops across various locations worldwide. The company provides education to professional traders regarding trading on financial markets through partnership with UAE based Tradepedia founded by financial analyst and risk management expert, Avramis Despotis.
During the 2013 year, the company introduced free trading signals to customers and a Virtual Private Server (VPS) service. The signals are developed by Avramis Despotis, a Certified Financial Technician and Chief Technical analyst at XM.[3] Ending 2013, the company started working with UK-based organization Investors in People to transform business performance through investment in people.
In 2014 the company opened representative offices in Budapest, Athens and Sydney.
